Highlights from Aqua Nor 2025

Here are some of our highlights from this year’s most important event in aquaculture.
On Tuesday at 14:00, our CTO, Darryl Weatherspoon, and Senior Product Strategist, Anita Bruun Nielsen, revealed the details of our two new products – Aquabyte Feeding and Aquabyte Decision Support.
Interest in the launch was tremendous, and our stand – together with the entire area in front of it – was packed with people eager to get a first glimpse and learn more about our new innovations.

Product launch #1
"Fish farmers have long been asking for a solution that combines weight, welfare, and behavior data with images and information from feeding cameras in a single platform – simplifying decision-making in the process. With the launch of Aquabyte Feeding and our new feeding dashboard, we have delivered exactly that", said Darryl Wetherspoon, before presenting the details about our new Feeding product.
Aquabyte Feeding will come to market in stages. The first release is a dashboard that brings together all information feeders need during their operations – including live FCR, our unique RGI, pellet detection and tracking, and 5-minute feeding predictions – in a single interface.
Future releases will also include hardware upgrades to our Hammerhead camera, adding sonar that delivers unique insights into pen conditions.

Product launch #2
The second launch at this year’s Aqua Nor was Decision Support, a tool that allows farmers to test and simulate different scenarios – such as full or partial harvests and delousing – to see the impact on biomass, lice levels, and welfare status.
With simulations based on real pen and site data, Decision Support becomes an important tool for farmers when deciding which actions will deliver the best outcomes.

Visit from the County Mayor
On Wednesday, we were visited by representatives from Vestland County, where our Norwegian offices are located.
Jon Askeland, County Mayor Vestland, and Bente Spissøy from the Vestland County Council took time out of their busy schedule at Aqua Nor to have an in-depth conversation with our CEO, Steve Tucker, about our products and technology.
