Closer to the fish than ever!

With Penflix live streaming via the Aquabyte camera, you get up close and gain unique insight into fish behaviour – whether the fish are in an open pen or submerged down to 40 metres. Penflix can be streamed 24/7, without affecting the volume or quality of the data collected by the Aquabyte system.

With Penflix, you can:

  • Få unik innsikt i fiskens adferd og bevegelsesmønster
  • Observe the fish up close during feeding (or anytime else)
  • Use the Aquabyte camera to see where the fish are positioned in the pen and optimise camera placement (in combination with a winch)
  • Use the Aquabyte camera alongside a feeding camera – or as a back-up if the feeding camera is out of operation

And if you want to take a closer look at a fish swimming past, simply hit pause!

With Penflix, you get live video from all pens where an Aquabyte camera is installed – 24/7. When you want to focus on one specific pen, simply click the video feed to zoom in to full screen.

Experience the fish from the fish’s own perspective

While feeding cameras typically film the fish from below, Penflix provides live video from an entirely different angle – the fish’s own point of view. You are right inside the school, observing the fish up close as they swim past. With high-quality live video, you can spot details you would otherwise miss.

Unique insights

Images can tell you a lot about the condition of the fish. Live video, however, gives you a unique understanding of fish behaviour , status and movement patterns:

  • Are they stressed or schooling?
  • Are they swimming fast or slow?
  • How are they feeding?

Behaviour and movement reveal a great deal about fish health and welfare. With live video available from the Aquabyte camera, you can check on the fish at any time and see how they are really doing.

Penflix as feeding support

With Penflix live streaming from the Aquabyte camera, you can observe fish behaviour up close during feeding and use the camera’s depth sensor to verify how deep the fish are positioned while feeding. If the primary feeding camera is out of operation, Penflix can also serve as a back-up.

Live streaming and continuous data collection – at the same time

Penflix does not affect the system’s normal data collection. While you are watching live video, the Aquabyte camera still captures more than 1.3 million high-resolution images per day. As always, these images are analysed using artificial intelligence and advanced machine learning to provide updated lice counts, continuous weight estimates, and insight into fish welfare and behaviour.
