Unique machine learning models for trout
Ensuring accurate data-collecting from trout farming
While trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) share many similarities with salmon, the differences are significant enough that traditional salmon farming systems simply won’t deliver optimal results for trout production. That’s why Aquabyte has developed a solution specifically tailored to trout, with models built around the species’ biology and behaviour. This gives farmers reliable data and insights that are adapted to their specific production needs.

Insights into welfare, weight, and lice status
Weight, welfare, and lice data from the trout pens are continuously updated through our user portal – giving trout farmers real-time insights into the status and wellbeing of their fish. A total of twelve trout welfare parameters are constantly monitored, including wounds, eye damage, and deformities. Daily lice data – combined with up to two weeks of predictive lice forecasts – allows farmers to plan treatments proactively, reduce stress on the fish, and optimize overall production performance.
