Trout

We have developed machine learning models specifically for trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss), enabling our system to deliver accurate weight and growth calculations, automatic lice counts, and high-precision monitoring of fish welfare in trout farming.

Ensuring accurate data-collecting from trout farming

While trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) share many similarities with salmon, the differences are significant enough that traditional salmon farming systems simply won’t deliver optimal results for trout production. That’s why we’ve developed a product tailor made for trout. With our system, trout farmers get insights they can trust, tailored to the unique biology and behavior of their fish.

Insights into welfare, weight, and lice status

Weight, welfare, and lice data from the trout pens are continuously updated through our user portal – giving trout farmers real-time insights into the status and wellbeing of their fish. A total of twelve trout welfare parameters are constantly monitored, including wounds, eye damage, and deformities. Daily lice data – combined with up to two weeks of predictive lice forecasts – allows farmers to plan treatments proactively, reduce stress on the fish, and optimize overall production performance.
